With just 10 days left until camp, I want to tell you a story that’s very close to me.
My son didn’t grow up as “the athletic kid.” In fact, he didn’t really discover football until 8th grade.
When he joined the team, he quickly realized something: there were many kids who were stronger, faster, and more experienced than he was, and it crushed his confidence.
He came to me and said, “Dad, can you help me learn how to lift weights?”
We had played around with some weight training in 7th grade, but I didn’t push him. He wasn’t that interested, and I wanted it to be on his terms.
But after that first year of football? He was all in.
We started from scratch, focusing on technique first, then slowly layering in more complex skills. We didn’t chase numbers. We built it right.
The result? My son went from weighing 126 pounds in 8th grade to 168 pounds as a freshman. He became one of the most advanced lifters in the football weight room, including varsity players.
But what really changed? His confidence. His posture. His mindset.
He walked into high school with his head held high. Not just on the field, but in the lunchroom, in the hallways, in life.
👉 This is why Power & Pride Strength & Speed Camp matters.
It’s not just about sports. It’s about giving middle schoolers the foundation they need to succeed in every area of life.
We want more kids to have the experience my son had. We want stronger, more skilled incoming freshmen—not just for football, but for their well-being, their self-esteem, and their future.
In other parts of the country, this type of middle school training is normal. In New Jersey? We’re behind. Coach Convey and I are here to help change that.
There’s still time. Camp starts soon.
