Meet the Coaches

Marc Rosamilia, MS

Marc Rosamilia is a licensed health and physical education teacher and an experienced strength and conditioning coach who has spent over 18 years helping young athletes build confidence, athleticism, and lifelong movement skills. He has served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Middletown High School North since 2019, where he works daily with student-athletes across all levels of experience.

Marc holds three Master’s degrees  in Education, Physical Education, and Applied Exercise Science — giving him a rare blend of classroom expertise and real-world coaching experience. He is also a NASM-certified Performance Enhancement Specialist and a New Jersey Board Member of the National High School Strength and Conditioning Association.

 

Most importantly, Marc understands kids. He knows how to meet them where they are, teach them how to move safely and confidently, and help them enjoy being active again without rushing development or chasing trends. Parents trust Marc because he leads with education, experience, and care, always putting long-term athletic development and the well-being of each child first.

Ray Convey has been the Head Track & Field Coach at Middletown North High School for the last 18 years. He specializes in coaching the sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers. Under his direction, the boys’ and girls’ programs at Middletown North have won 8 State Sectional Team Championships, 2 Shore Conference Team Championships, 1 County Team Championship, and 3 County Relay Team Championships.

 

The girls’ championships were the first team championships at the county, shore conference, and state levels in the history of Middletown North.  North athletes have also broken over 160 school records and have won 69 individual State Sectional Championships, 38 County Championships, 33 Shore Conference Championships, 12 Group Championships, 4 State Relay Championships, and 1 Meet of Champs Championship.  There have also been over 30 athletes who have qualified for New Balance National Championships and four have achieved All-American status. 

 

In 2014, Ray was named NJ’s Star Ledger Coach of the Year for Spring Track & Field and the Star Ledger’s Monmouth County Coach of the Year for Indoor Track & Field. He has also received the Shore Track Coaches Association Coach of the Year 3 times (2017, 2018, 2019).  In 2022, he was named the Shore Conference Boys Track and Field coach of the year by the Asbury Park Press. Ray graduated from Manalapan High School where he was a varsity athlete in football, basketball, and track & field. He then received his degree in Health and Physical Education from The College of New Jersey.
